Why CampLedger exists
Frequent campers can't remember which site was actually good — the shady quiet one, or the one next to the noisy toilet. That knowledge lives in memory and gets lost between seasons. CampLedger is a private journal of the sites you have actually slept at, rated on the things campers care about.
What CampLedger does
- Log campsites with shade, noise, signal, levelness, water and fire ratings
- Track cost, reservation-needed and a "would return" flag
- Free-text notes for everything the ratings do not capture
- Optional one-tap capture of current GPS coordinates — no continuous tracking
- Filter and sort your history by would-return, rating, signal or date
- Search saved sites by name
- Export your journal to CSV or JSON
- Fully offline — no account, no subscription

Where you camp is where you sleep alone outdoors, so CampLedger keeps every entry on your device — a real safety win over review platforms. Location is requested only on an explicit one-tap capture; there is no background tracking and no analytics.
