ChainLog
Track every component's wear — no fitness cloud required.
Bike component wear & service log. No Strava account needed.
Why ChainLog exists
Most bike-maintenance apps lean on a mandatory Strava or Garmin account, and several paywall multi-bike support. ChainLog is the local-first, offline tracker for per-component wear and service reminders, with unlimited bikes and no fitness-cloud lock-in.
What ChainLog does
- Manage multiple bikes with name, type, optional photo, and odometer
- Manual mileage entry that advances each bike's odometer
- Per-component wear tracking: chain, cassette, chainrings, brake pads, tyres, bottom bracket, cables
- Wear status against your threshold — green, amber, or overdue
- A "Due" dashboard for service due soon or overdue across all bikes
- Wax/relube counter with a one-tap reset
- Service history log and CSV/JSON export; optional local "due soon" notifications
- Fully offline — no account, no subscription
Privacy and local storage
ChainLog stores all bike and service data locally. No account, no tracking, and deliberately no tie to any fitness-tracking cloud profile. Optional Drive sync goes through your own Google Drive only.
Optional Google services
- + Google Drive (optional): back up and restore your bikes and service log via your own Drive account
All Google services are optional. ChainLog works completely without them.
Affiliate links disclosure
ChainLog may include clearly-labelled, contextual links to chains, cassettes, lube, and chain-wear tools on relevant component and service screens — never blocking the log.
