Why ClearDial exists
Elderly users and people with cognitive decline get lost in stock Android: tiny icons, accidental taps, settings they break. Families want a locked-down, big-button home screen they can configure once and hand over. EasyPhone is a polished, free, ad-free launcher that hides settings behind a PIN.
What ClearDial does
- Large-tile home grid with big app tiles and big labels
- Favorite-contact tiles with photos for one-tap call or message
- Big clock, date, and battery indicator at the top
- PIN-gated admin mode so settings can't be changed by accident
- "Show only these apps" mode to reduce on-screen overwhelm
- Optional prominent SOS tile that calls a chosen contact
- Export and import the full setup as JSON so a relative can recreate it
- Fully offline — no account, no subscription

Privacy and local storage
EasyPhone keeps contact names, photos, and tile config on the device only. There is no telemetry — deliberately, because the elderly user has not personally consented. No account, nothing leaves the phone.
