PackBalance is a local-first gear closet you compose trips from, with instant weight breakdowns.
What PackBalance does
- Gear closet: add items with weight, category, worn/consumable flags and cost
- Compose unlimited trip packs by selecting from your closet
- Live base / worn / consumable / total breakdowns with a category pie chart
- Units in g / oz and kg / lb, stored canonically and converted for display
- LighterPack-CSV import to capture switchers
- List, detail and edit for both closet items and packs
- Export your closet and packs to CSV or JSON
- Fully offline — no account, no subscription

A gear inventory reveals spending and habits, so PackBalance keeps everything on your device — no profile of an expensive kit in a vendor cloud. No permissions are required, and export is always user-initiated.
