PinStash
Your own private map of the places worth remembering.
Private offline map of your GPS spots, in custom lists. No account.
Why PinStash exists
Foraging patches, fishing swims, that one tree — the places worth remembering end up as vague memories or pins scattered across other apps. SpotKeeper is a private, offline map for your own spots, organised into lists, with photos, seasons, and a visit log, built on OpenStreetMap.
What PinStash does
- Save spots on a map and organise them into your own colour-coded lists
- Capture coordinates from your current GPS, or enter them by hand
- Add a category, season / best time, rating, notes, and photos to each spot
- Keep a visit log per spot with dates and notes
- Search across all your spots and navigate to any one
- Import GPX waypoints and export as CSV, GeoJSON, or GPX
- Optional Google Drive backup (free, your own Drive)
- Fully offline — works in the field with no signal
Privacy and local storage
SpotKeeper stores all your spots, lists, and photos locally. No account, no tracking. Optional Drive sync goes through your own Google Drive only (photos stay on your device).
Optional Google services
- + Google Drive (optional): back up and restore your spots and lists via your own Drive account
All Google services are optional. PinStash works completely without them.
Affiliate links disclosure
SpotKeeper may include clearly-labelled contextual links to outdoor gear, GPS handhelds, field guides, and foraging and fishing kit. Links are optional and never shown inside your spots.
