BenchLog
Every project, every material, every euro — on your own phone.
Workshop & DIY project log. No account, no ads, no subscription.
Why BenchLog exists
Most project and task apps push subscriptions and cloud accounts, and none answer the one question makers actually ask: what did this build really cost me? WorkshopLog keeps your projects, materials, costs, measurements, and photos in one local place — and tells you the total.
What BenchLog does
- Organise builds as projects with status, dates, and a cover photo
- Track tasks with a simple checklist per project
- Log materials with quantity, unit cost, and supplier
- Keep a tool list per project
- Record costs by category — see the rolled-up total for each build
- Save key measurements so you never re-measure
- Attach photos and notes to document the build
- Export a full project report (JSON / CSV) and archive when done
- Optional Google Drive backup (free, your own Drive)
- Fully offline — no server that might go down
Privacy and local storage
WorkshopLog stores all project data locally. No account needed. No tracking. Optional Drive sync goes through your own Google Drive only.
Optional Google services
- + Google Drive (optional): back up and restore your projects via your own Drive account
- + ML Kit OCR (optional, later): read a price off a receipt photo to pre-fill a cost — manual entry always works
All Google services are optional. BenchLog works completely without them.
Affiliate links disclosure
WorkshopLog may include clearly-labelled contextual links to tools, materials, fasteners, safety gear, and consumables from partners such as Amazon. Links are never shown inside your project data and are always optional.
