Our commitment
PixQuest is built on the principle that your photo library is your own. This app is local-first, has no INTERNET permission, and analyses every photo entirely on-device.
What we collect
Nothing. PixQuest stores all data locally on your device. There is no account, no cloud backup, and no tracking by default.
We do not collect:
- Your name, email, or contact information
- Your photos, detected labels, recognized text, or search index
- Location data or device identifiers
- Telemetry, crash reports, or usage analytics
Data storage
All PixQuest data is stored in app-private local storage on your device only. This data:
- Is never sent to LokiSec servers
- Is never shared with third parties
- Remains yours to delete at any time
- Is lost only if you uninstall the app or factory-reset your device
Optional features
On-Device Photo Indexing
PixQuest builds a search index of your photos using Google ML Kit's bundled on-device models for image labeling, text recognition, and face detection. Indexing runs in batches you control and never sends a photo, label, or recognized word anywhere. PixQuest counts faces for context only — it does not identify or group people.

Data export and deletion
You always retain full control:
- PixQuest builds its search index from photos already in your gallery — deleting a photo from your gallery removes it from the index on the next refresh
- Uninstalling the app removes the entire search index immediately
Legal compliance
GDPR: We collect no personal data, so there is nothing on our servers to access or delete — your photos and search index are yours and live on your device.
Security
All local data is stored in app-private storage with standard Android file permissions. If you enable Drive sync, encryption is handled by Google Drive. The app does not store passwords or credentials in plain text.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy occasionally. The "Effective Date" at the top shows when it was last updated. Continued use of PixQuest after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
